Friday 30 August 2013

I apologise in advance for the horribly dodgy pictures I had to use my ipad camera and the quality and lighting really was pretty crap!

Sadly I only have three in my little collection as the colour Galaxy wasn't actually in stock when I bought my most recent too however OH MY GOSH these are just amazing.
I'm sure you're heard a lot about them already but just in case you haven't they are a liquid lipstick. The punch of colour is that of a lipstick, but it has the texture and the application of a lipgloss..which to me is perfect.
The colours are amazingly pigmented (I'm going to post later with the colours swatched on my hand and lips) and they really do last. I've tried so many products that claim that they last..and really don't so I was really chuffed when I actually found a product that did..hence telling myself it's okay to continue buying the entire range..

I think the packaging is super cute..something Rimmel do really well, and the amount of colour that you can see in the tube really is the amount of colour that you get.

As I said I am going to do a swatch review of these later today as I'm about to shoot off to work but I really can't recommend these products enough and they have made it into my selection 'holy grail' products!

Let me know if you have any of these little beauties and what you think!

Questions:

1) What is your favourite drugstore brand overall?

Rimmel London without a doubt! My favourite foundation at the moment (and has been for a while!) is the Wake me up foundation by Rimmel. The coverage is amazing and the finish is so dewy and healthy and ugh it's gorgeous! I love love love their lipsticks and the new Apocalips liquid lipsticks range are just amazing, if you haven't tried them yet I highly, highly recommend them.

2) What are your favourite face, cheek and lip products?

My favourite foundation is the Wake me up foundation by Rimmel
For primer is the ELF mineral face primer (I have this in clear) I have tried the Smashbox photo ready primer before and I would honestly compare them.
For blush it has to be my Sleek Blush Trio, Sleek blushes in general are just fab.
For bronzer it's either the Bojours chocolate bronzer (I have this in the lighter colour) or the ELF contour and blush kit in St. Lucia.
With lip products at the moment it has to be the Rimmel Apocalips liquid lipstick range! Amazing amazing amazing

3) Least favourite product?
Considering I love the brand Rimmel to death this may surprise you but I absolutely hate their scandalise mascara! I don't know what it is, maybe its the particular tube that I picked up but the brush is just far too big (which is strange as I usually love a big brush) and the formula is just too gloopy and sticky, it makes my lashes so clumpy and spidery which makes for a bad makeup day!

4) What is the best makeup bargain?
My best makeup bargain has to be the eyeshadow palettes by MUA. For their outstanding price they are just such a lovely quality. They have a lovely range of colours and you really feel like you can buy the whole collection of palettes (well at least I do!) as they are so inexpensive. You can have so much fun trying out different looks as each palette is so different which is always nice! These for me are a must have!

5) What is your favourite underdog product?
It probably has the Miss Sporty Clear Mascara (which I use to set my eyebrows) I have friends that spend so much money on eyebrow products, particularly ones to set them. I first picked this mascara up about 2 years ago on a whim after hearing about someone that used the mascara for this, it was probably around the £2/3 mark and I can honestly say I haven't used anything else to set my eyebrows since. But be careful if you take this tip as adding too much can leave you with a slightly sticky face!

6) A drugstore product that is over priced?
I think this has to be mascaras! Some mascara's in the drugstore, naming no names *Cough* Max Factor *Cough* are so over priced. The last time I purchased Bad Gal Lash from Benefit (all time favourite) it was £15. Some Max Factor mascara's really aren't that far off that! And for a drugstore product I think that's getting a bit too much now!

7) Show your best drugstore dupes
I'm much more of a fan of drugstore makeup so I'm probably going to be pretty rubbish on this question however I think Rimmel's lipsticks could give some higher end brands a run for their money!

8) Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?

The Maybelline Baby Lips..they really are just lip balm with a fancy packaging. An essential yes, but not worth the hype or the money!

I absolutely loved doing this post as I do love drugstore makeup! What are your favourite drug store products?

1. Accessorize lipstick in Shade 6 'Passionate' This is a fairly dark colour but when I wear it I blend it out for a gorgeous vampy plum lip. I wore it out for a little date night last weekend and my boyfriend loved it!

2. Rimmel London (I really cannot remember what this range is called however it's in a pink and gold tube and it's in the Shade 050 'Have Fun!;'

3. MUA Lipstick in Shade 13. This is just a gorgeous orangey red, nothing much more to say really! Can't go wrong with a £1 lipstick!

4. L'oreal Paris Caresse Lipstick in Shade 203 'Rock 'N Mauve. I don't usually by from L'oreal Paris however this lipstick may have just broadened my horizons to the brand. I want to give the Lumi Magic Foundation a try, have you tried it?

5. Collection Lasting Colour in Shade 8 'Sweet Tart' (I cannot actually believe this lipstick is £2/3, This is my go pink to lipstick at the moment, even over my higher end brand colours) I don't normally like telling people what to buy or whatever, but when I find hidden little gems like this I don't feel as bad

6. Rimmel London Apocalips Liquid Lipstick in Shade Apocoliptic. THESE ARE AMAZING. I'm going to do a full post on these little beauties when I've built up my collection.

7. Missguided Lipsplash. I don't actaully know what shade number or name this is, As it came free with a magazine, but I guess it still counts as the magazine was under £10!

8. Sleek Glossed with SPF 15 in the Shade 'Packs a Punch' This again is a gorgeous orange toned red, it gives a perfect splash of colour to the lips that lasts all day without the heavy dry feeling that a lipstick can sometimes give.

9. Elf Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint with SPF 8 in the Shade #D30. I wouldn't really call this a liptint, more a sheer, yet really pigmented tinted balm..I might even stretch as far as a lipstick, but definitely not a lip 'tint'; the formula has more weight to it than that. It's a shame this product doesn't have a name but its a lovely plummy pink.

10. And finally my 10th lipstick pick under £10 is an MUA Lipstick in Shade 2, and its a lovely purpley pink!

Well there you go girls, they are my top 10 lipsticks under £10! It was very hard to narrow down my collection to only 10 picks as I'm a sucker for lipsticks and I really do love highstreet brands for lipsticks, particularly Rimmel and Sleek. Sometimes you don't always have to splash out to find something lovely! I think I'll end up doing another under £10 lipstick posts as this is probably a more 'recent favourites under £10'..but we shall see!

Do you love anything on here? Let me know of any lipsticks that you love under £10!

How Boohoo.com did it...
 How Miss Selfridge did it..
How next did it..

Although I don't think this trend will be as popular as every one as the dusty pink one I really, really love it! I saw a display of clothes similar to the ones that I've found online in my local H&M window which is where I got the idea for this post from..alongside scanning magazines and the internet for the trends! As soon as I saw it I got super excited..

How do you like this one? Let me know!

How New Look did it...

How next did it...

 How Miss Selfridge did it...

And a sneaky Asos favourite!

I couldn't find a coat or jacket yet that I loved as it seems many of the shops are still feeling the summer trends and are yet to update..however I think a dusty pink coat is going to be must have for me when it begins to get a bit colder!

What are you loving in the AW13 trends?
Let me know!

Okay girls so I'm not wanting to wish away the summer or anything like that but I'm strangely excited about the novelty of layering up and putting on jumpers..Odd huh when all we want is sun?

Anyway I'm crazily excited about these upcoming trends that I'm going to focus on today/tomorrow/whenever I actually get round to getting all the posts done when I'm not working etc etc..

As you know I'm way more into my makeup/beauty than fashion however I'm really into buying clothes at the moment so I thought I may as well make the most of it!

Now I do love Topshop, This isn't me saying I don't like their clothes or they don't make beautiful clothes which we all know they do..however I have decided that I'm not going to feature them in this post and most probably the majority of the rest in this theme, PERSONALLY and don't quote me on this..but I really do think their prices are ridiculous recently and I really can't justify featuring things on here that I wouldn't pay the money for myself..so now that's out of the way..Queue the fashion posts!
I've been away last week in the gorgeous menorca so I'm sorry I didn't let you all know before I went away..But queue the crazy post catch up!

Are there any holiday themed posts you'd like to see? I'd love to do some!

Hope you're all well and lovely
